Magic/Tragic Numbers + Week 6 preview

And then there were none. Boy, Week 5 was messy. AL West was razor tight, AL East was only 1/2 blowout and the entire NL was full of lopsided games, 1/2 in the direction you would expect, and 1/2 in major upsets. So, where does that leave us: Team Wins 1 Your Mom 51 2…

And before last week, that looked like it might still happen. But, with a couple upsets and blowouts, now everything seems closer than ever. Here’s…

Initial Draft Success

After looking at the initial draft again the other night, I figured I’d put that through the WAR ringer I’ve been using for other drafts. But I’m not going to analyze it much, just give everyone their score and top 5 players, for funsies. I’m using oWAR and WAR from 2007-2019 for this, but I…

Final installment of my farm system review. And the longest one yet. Makes sense when you’re writing up 3 of the top 5 farms in one post. Due to popular demand, a quick recap: HM = honorable mentions, or “farm fodder” depending on my moodLT = Lottery tickets (long shots to be more than an…

AL West farm system Org Rankings

Like before, any questions on the process, please read my post reviewing the NL West before asking them. The “100 Characters” concept was fun, but I’m going to try a different angle this time around and give reviews that are a bit more robust in the “Break down” section. And of course, questions, comments, concerns…

Top Ten CPL Franchises

Here are the results of the ranked voting I asked of all of the CPL owners last week. It’s worth noting every team received a top ten vote, and many of the top ten teams were left off of at least one ballot, so there really was a smattering of votes, and several different criteria used by…

I’m resurrecting a personal favorite of mine, and ranking everyone’s farm systems in accordance with each prospects BA grades and risk assessments.
